![]() mine is out of an 08 2.5 jetta though and it has 100mm ones for some reason. Since this is the first time ive had an o2j apart (done 020's and 02m's only), can anyone tell me the exact differences between the two?īeen searching everywhere but so far the only thing I have found out is that the ring gear on the Diff is a different size, and that some of the later ones had 108mm axle cups. ![]() got the case split and everything apart, once i collect the parts im sending the gears off to get cryo'd and all that. You need to remove the 3 x 16mm hex bolts that hold the mount to the gearbox and slacken the 16mm bolt so you can slide the mount to one side, revealing the. remove 13mm bolts and then heat the area around the sealant with a torch (propane) and then smack with a piece of wood and hammer the cap and shift tower from the side. Step 2: remove output flanges with bolt from tranny case (threaded all the down shaft) Step 3 remove shift tower and bottom cap/guide. I know every bolt is the same thread pitch. I have an O2j-B trans out of a mk5 2.5 that I am currently rebuilding to put into my mk1. Step 1: remove tranny oil before beginning. If you need it ASAP you could just pick up one of each and see which one threads in, then when you find the correct thread pitch go and pick up all of them you need in the correct lengths.
